Thomas Flight
The information in this section is incomplete and requires further checking. For example, it is possible that Thomas FLIGHT (1683 -1746) married a second time, in 1730, to Mary WEBB, and subsequently had three further children, Ann (1732), Thomas (1735), and George (1738). I am still investigating this. Any further information, on this or any other branch of the FLIGHT family would be most welcome.
Thomas baptised 29 November 1683 at King's Stanley; married
16 May 1706 at Kings Stanley, Martha BROWNING. He was buried 15 June 1746
at Woodchester.
Thomas moved from King Stanley to Rodborough in March 1708/9, and a settlement
certificate was issued by the Kings Stanley Overseers of the poor. Thomas was
described as a clothworker, and his wife was named as Ann.

Olive, baptised 27 March 1737 at Rodborough, married at Rodborough 12 May 1758 William ALDER. William was baptised 4 December 1731 at King's Stanley, parents Samuel and Mary ALDER. William and Olive stayed in King's Stanley, William's parish and had 11 children. For further information on this branch of the family contact Robin Roberts.
Joseph, baptised 29 March 1739 at Stroud, married at Avening, 13 June 1762, Ann BAKER. NOTE. IGI gives wife's name as Hannah. Ann/Hannah BAKER was baptised 8 September 1738 at Avening, parents Samuel and Martha BAKER.
Richard, baptised 9 February 1741/2 at Stroud. He married by licence at Horsley on 10 May 1772, Betty WALLIS. Betty WALLIS was baptised 4 August 1751 at Horsley, parents William and Betty WALLIS. The licence shows that Richard was a Clothworker from King's Stanley aged 25+.
