Tormarton War Memorial
The memorial is situated in the churchyard of the parish church of St Mary Magdalen, Tormarton, Gloucestershire, England. It consists of a tall cross set on a two tier octagonal base and faces the road.
The inscription reads as follows:-

Some notes on the memorial.
The lettering is faded and difficult to interpret being overgrown with lichen.
Lance Corporal Montague Charles Cottrell, 3rd Bn. Gloucestershire Regiment, died on Friday 3rd March 1916 at the age of 24 yrs. He was the son of William and Flora Cottrell of Tormarton. He is buried in the churchyard at Tormarton.
Prvte George Hall, 1st/4th Bn. Gloucestershire Regiment died on the 17th August 1916, aged 26 yrs and is buried in PUCHUVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY He was the son of John and Hannah Hall of Tormarton, Badminton.
Ptve Sidney Hurcom served in the 1st Bn. Gloucestershire Regiment and died on Thursday 29th October 1914. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL. He was the brother of Mrs F Packer of Seaside Cottage Tormarton.
Ivor Leonard was an Ordinary Seaman on HMS NIGER and died on Monday 6th July 1942 aged 20 yrs. He was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Leonard of Tormarton. He is buried in he REYKJAVIK (FOSSVOGUR) CEMETERY in Iceland.
