FreeBMD. FreeBMD is an ongoing project, the aim of which is to transcribe the Civil Registration index of births, marriages and deaths for England and Wales, and to provide free Internet access to the transcribed records.

FreeReg. Provides free Internet searches of baptism, marriage, and burial records that have been transcribed from parish and non-conformist registers of the U.K.

FreeCen. A "free-to-view" online searchable database of the 19th century UK census returns.

Family History - General.

The Proceedings of the Old Bailey London 1674 to 1834. A fully searchable online edition of the largest body of texts detailing the lives of non-elite people ever published, containing accounts of over 100,000 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court.
