Shurdington War Memorial

The memorial consists of a stone tablet located inside the church, on the east wall.

Sergt. William CHALLONER, The Kings Shropshire Infantry

Sergt. Charles HURST, The Wiltshire Regiment

Sergt. William John LOCKE, Grenadier Guards

Lance Cpl. Henry MARTIN, The Glos. Regiment

Pte. William DOPSON, Royal Welsh Fusiliers

Pte. Albert James ORGAN, The Glos. Regiment

Pte. Henry WOODWARD, The Glos. Regiment

Of this parish or closely connected therewith who fell in the Great War 1914-1919, this tablet is erected by the proud and ever grateful parishioners of Shurdington.

Thus these men died leaving their deaths for an example of noble courage unto all their nation. 2 Macc.VI 31.

Above this tablet, a framed picture. :-

The small silver chalice paten and wafer box used in this church are in memory of the men of Shurdington who were killed in the war 1939-1945.
